Volunteer Coordinator
An exciting opportunity has arisen within this Fire Service''s Prevention Department for a Volunteer Coordinator, based in Rotherham, with agile working arrangements available. Volunteer Coordinator Location: Rotherham S66. Hybrid working + South Yorkshire Travel Hours: Part Time - 14.8 hours per week over 2 days. Thursday and Friday. Job Share (Flexi Time) Contract: Permanent Salary: £32,061 - £34,434 per annum (Grade 6) To increase subject to national pay award negotiations for 2026. (£12,825 - £13,774 per annum actual for 14.8 hours per week) This is a rewarding role at the heart of the Service''s prevention work, where you will lead and develop their volunteer programme, helping to create safer, stronger and more resilient communities. Volunteers play a vital role in delivering community safety initiatives, supporting vulnerable people and helping the organisation reach communities across South Yorkshire. As Volunteer Coordinator, you will ensure they have the support, training and opportunities they need to make a real impact. The successful candidate will coordinate all aspects of the volunteer journey, from recruitment and induction through to development and recognition. You will also help identify and create new volunteering opportunities, work closely with community partners, and promote volunteering across the organisation and wider community.
