As a Voids Surveyor, you will play a key role in ensuring our empty properties (voids) are returned to a lettable standard quickly, efficiently, and in line with our quality expectations. You''ll be responsible for inspecting properties, specifying works, managing contractors, and ensuring homes are safe, compliant, and ready for new residents.This is a fast-paced and rewarding role where your work directly contributes to reducing void loss and supporting families into quality housing.Key ResponsibilitiesInspect void properties and accurately diagnose repair and refurbishment requirementsPrepare detailed schedules of works and cost estimatesOversee and manage contractors to ensure works are delivered on time, within budget, and to agreed standardsMonitor health and safety compliance, CDM regulations, and quality controlEnsure properties meet lettable standards and statutory requirements (gas, electrical, fire safety, etc.)Work collaboratively with Lettings, Asset Management, and Repairs teams to minimise turnaround timesProvide technical advice and support across the organisationAbout YouWe''re looking for someone who is:Experienced in surveying within social housing, residential property, or a similar environmentKnowledgeable in building construction, maintenance, and refurbishment worksConfident in diagnosing defects and specifying remedial worksCommercially aware with strong cost-control skillsFamiliar with housing legislation, health and safety regulations, and ..... full job details .....
