Voids Surveyor

Elevate Projects are working in partnership with our client, a local housing provider, to appoint an experienced Surveyor to join the busy Voids team on a long term contract basis.-

Key Responsibilities

• Undertake pre-void, void and post-works inspections of residential properties.
• Assess the condition of properties and identify all necessary repairs, maintenance and improvement works.
• Produce detailed schedules of work and specifications for void properties.
• Ensure works are appropriately scoped to achieve the required lettable / re-let standard.
• Identify health, safety, compliance and property condition issues during inspections.
• Monitor contractor performance, quality, progress and completion of void works.
• Carry out post-inspections and snagging to ensure works have been completed to the required standard.
• Authorise or recommend works in accordance with delegated financial limits.
• Monitor void turnaround times and work with internal teams to minimise delays.
• Liaise with contractors, housing officers, lettings teams, residents and other stakeholders.
• Ensure works comply with relevant legislation, housing standards, health & safety requirements and the organisation''s policies.
• Identify opportunities to reduce unnecessary expenditure and improve the efficiency of the voids process.
