- Early Shift: 07:00 - 15:00

About the Role
We are currently recruiting for Visual Inspectors to join a leading pharmaceutical manufacturing company in Swindon.
This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with a keen eye for detail who take pride in maintaining the highest quality standards. As a Visual Inspector, you will play a critical role in ensuring pharmaceutical products meet strict quality and compliance requirements before they reach patients.
Working within a highly regulated environment, you will inspect pharmaceutical vials for defects and ensure only products that meet quality standards progress through the manufacturing process.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform manual visual inspection of filled pharmaceutical vials under controlled conditions.
- Identify and reject products with visible defects, including:
- Particulate contamination (visible particles)
- Cosmetic defects such as scratches, chips, or cracks
- Fill volume discrepancies
- Container closure integrity concerns
- Follow approved Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), batch records, and inspection instructions.
- Ensure all inspections are completed in accordance with GMP and Data Integrity requirements.
- Maintain concentration and consistency throughout the inspection process.
- Correctly segregate accepted and rejected products.
- Accurately record inspection results in line with Good Documentation Practice (GDP).
- Escalate quality concerns, abnormalities, or trends to supervisors.
- Participate in vision assessments, training, and ongoing competency checks.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the department.

Essential Requirements
- GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent).
- Ability to successfully complete a visual acuity assessment.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

Desirable Experience
- Previous experience in pharmaceutical, food manufacturing, medical device, quality inspection, production, or other regulated environments.
- Understanding of GMP, GDP, and Data Integrity principles.
- Experience performing quality checks, inspections, or working to strict quality standards.
