Virtual Desktop Engineer - Barrow 30-32k baseOur client is looking for a Virtual Desktop Infrastructure Engineer - based in Barrow 5 days a week. You will work in the End User Experience (EUE) department.Essential SkillsSupporting virtual desktop environmentsVDI performance, access, stabilityUser support within virtualised desktopsExperience Must have subject matter expertise and experience in VDI - this is essential for this role. Useful to have in-depth knowledge and good understanding of Microsoft Windows O/S (Windows 10 and Windows 7), including build, configuration and registry settings is required, along with a level of proficiency in Microsoft Office. SCCM experience including OS deployment, application deployment, faulting finding, monitoring and reporting desired Automation - Understanding of Scripting technologies such as PowerShell, VB Scripting, and batch Files is beneficial Security - knowledge of disk encryption using bit locker, NTFS permissions and shared folder security is useful An appreciation of the Microsoft Exchange environment, email client configuration, MS Outlook, instant messaging tools (Skype for business), along with general etiquette ..... full job details .....
