Circa 40,000 (incl. shift allowance)2 Days / 2 Nights / 4 OffShillito Group are recruiting for a Melter / Furnace Operator on behalf of one of our manufacturing clients.This is a hands on shop floor role working in a specialist furnace department within a heavy manufacturing environment.If you''re used to working around heat, heavy materials and strict safety procedures, this could be right up your street.What you''ll be doingYou''ll be part of a team responsible for the safe and efficient operation of furnace equipment.Typical duties include:Operating and supporting furnace melting processesPreparing furnace charges and loading materialsHandling moulds, ingots, electrodes and cruciblesUsing overhead cranes and forklift trucksSupporting mould preparation and furnace cleaningMaintaining strict safety, housekeeping and QA standardsCompleting melt records and production documentationWhat we''re looking forThis is a shop floor role, so we''re looking for someone comfortable in a safety critical manufacturing environment.Good backgrounds include:Steel / metals manufacturingFoundry or casting environmentsHeavy engineeringAerospace materials productionFurnace operationsAny industrial environment where safety and process discipline matterIf you''re used to working with cranes, heavy materials or high temperature processes, we want to hear from you.The shift2 Days - 2 Nights - 4 OffA solid shift pattern that gives you regular long breaks.SalaryCirca 40,000 including shift ..... full job details .....
