Victims Development Officer (Violence Against Women)

Overview
We need a versatile and enthusiastic officer to improve services for victims of VAWG and modern slavery. You''ll have a wide range of duties, including developing and implementing initiatives to support victims, organising and delivering training, and other activities to raise awareness among the public and professionals and building problem profiles for key issues to steer our planning and priorities. Key partners will include our commissioned third sector services.You''ll also coordinate our regular case panels for high-risk domestic abuse and modern slavery cases, giving you access to information on local trends and issues.The post is based in our lively and friendly Safer Communities team, working alongside staff tackling gang issues, anti-social behaviour, town center concerns, prevention of extremism and other pieces of crime reduction work, giving plenty of opportunity for collaboration.You will need excellent partnership and communication skills and understanding of the needs of victims, together with knowledge of relevant policy and legislation.For an informal discussion please contact Annette at annette.wootten@royalgreenwich.gov.ukTo apply please click
