The desk handles IT and Digital planning for the Global Markets Division in EGMD, supporting project initiation, promotion, post-release maintenance, and system-related tasks necessary to drive business forward as part of the front office for Global Markets.Main purpose of the roleEnsure the stability and reliability of market systems to support business operations.Drive continuous improvement in system performance and user satisfaction.Provide expert support to system users, ensuring seamless operation of market-related applications.Key responsibilitiesMonitor and maintain production environments to ensure system stability.Lead the response and resolution of system incidents, collaborating with system owners and other stakeholders to minimize downtime.Provide technical support and guidance to system users, addressing queries and issues.Collaborate with development teams to implement system enhancements and improvements.Document and maintain operational procedures to ensure consistent and effective system support practices.Conduct regular system health checks and performance tuning to optimize efficiency.Work experienceEssentialMinimum of 5 years of experience in production support or reliability engineering within financial markets or related industries.Experience leading problem determination by collaborating with stakeholders.Ability to monitor and investigate system inquiries independently.Proven track record of managing and resolving system incidents in a high-pressure environment.Experience collaborating with development teams to implement system enhancements and improvements.PreferredExperience working in a front office environment within a financial institution.Previous experience leading a team or project in a production support role.Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance in financial markets.Skills and experienceFunctional / Technical CompetenciesEssentialStrong technical skills in system monitoring, incident management, and performance tuning.Excellent problem-solving abilities and the capacity to lead incident resolution efforts.Effective communication skills to provide technical support and guidance to system users.Ability to document and maintain operational procedures clearly and accurately.PreferredKnowledge of specific market systems and applications used within the financial industry.Experience with automation tools and techniques to improve system reliability and efficiency.Strong analytical skills to gather and analyze information related to system performance and regulatory requirements.Education / qualificationsEssentialBachelor’s degree.PreferredMaster’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.Personal requirementsExcellent communication skillsResults driven, with a strong sense of accountabilityA proactive, motivated approachThe ability to operate with urgency and prioritise work accordinglyStrong decision making skills with sound judgementA structured and logical approach to workStrong problem solving skillsA creative and innovative approach to workExcellent interpersonal skillsThe ability to manage large workloads and tight deadlinesExcellent attention to detail and accuracyA calm approach, with the ability to perform well in a pressurised environmentStrong numerical skillsExcellent Microsoft Office skillsWe are open to considering flexible working requests in line with organisational requirements.
