Vice President - Full Stack Engineer (Java/Angular/AI)

We are working with a global financial institution building a new engineering team focused on developing a large-scale internal platform within a critical business area.This is a greenfield initiative focused on modernising and scaling internal technology capabilities through high-quality engineering and platform design. The environment is highly technical and hands-on, with a strong focus on building reliable, scalable systems within a regulated environment.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, build, and enhance scalable distributed systems handling high volumes of data and transactionsDevelop and maintain backend services and APIs using modern engineering practicesContribute to system design, architecture discussions, and technical decision-makingBuild resilient, automated systems with strong focus on reliability, observability, and performanceWork closely with engineering and product teams to deliver production-grade solutionsContribute to CI/CD, testing, monitoring, and operational improvements across platformsSupport and mentor junior engineers within the teamKey RequirementsStrong Java engineering experience within distributed or microservices-based environmentsExperience building production systems within financial services or similarly regulated industriesStrong knowledge of Spring Boot and backend engineering best practicesExposure to Angular or TypeScript beneficialExperience working with high-volume, scalable systemsFamiliarity with event-driven architecture and messaging ..... full job details .....
