Contract Role - Vice President and Senior VP Java Equities- London/Hybrid - 12 months initial We''re seeking a future team member for the role of Vice President and Senior VP Java to join our Equities Engineering team in Execution Services Platform Role Overview: Job Title: Vice President and Senior VP Java Equities Location: London/ Hybrid (4 days onsite per week) Contract Type: Contract Duration: 12 months initial Rate: £900-1000/day UMB/LTD OR £/day + holidays (20 days + 8 bank holidays pro rata) PAYE 10+ years of experience designing, building, and delivering real-time, scalable, and resilient software applications within Financial Services or similarly complex, high-throughput domains. Core Backend Proficiency: Deep expertise in Java and the Spring ecosystem - including Spring Framework, Spring Boot, Spring Security, Spring Data, and ORM frameworks - with a strong focus on building production-grade, enterprise-scale services. Frontend Development: Proficiency in modern front-end technologies including Angular, TypeScript/JavaScript, HTML/CSS, with working knowledge of jQuery and component-based UI architecture. Data and Persistence: Strong command of relational and analytical database technologies, e.g., Oracle / Microsoft SQL Server, with experience in data modeling, query optimization, and large-scale data management.
