Veterinary Care assistant

I have a lovely independant practice looking for an experienced VCA full time.

Must have at least 1-2 years previsous experience.-

Core Responsibilities:

• Animal Care:

  • Feeding, watering, and ensuring animals have access to fresh food and water.-
  • Cleaning and maintaining animal enclosures, cages, and kennels.-
  • Grooming and exercising animals.-
  • Monitoring animal health and behavior, reporting any concerns to veterinary staff.-

• Assisting with Treatments and Procedures:

  • Preparing equipment and treatment rooms.-
  • Assisting with basic treatments, such as administering medications (under supervision).-
  • Restraining animals for examinations and procedures.-
  • Monitoring animals during and after procedures.-

• General Practice Support:

  • Maintaining a clean and organized practice environment.-
  • Handling and transporting animals safely.-
  • Some VCAs may also assist with reception or administrative tasks.-

• Specific Duties for Inpatients:

  • Exercising, grooming, and feeding hospitalized animals.-
  • Monitoring and providing supportive care to inpatients.-
  • Preparing the operating theatre and relevant equipmen
