Vehicle Workshop Engineer / Mechanic

Job Title: Workshop EngineerLocation: WimblingtonSalary: Competitive Job Type: Full-time, PermanentWorking Pattern: Monday to Friday + every other SaturdayPurpose of the role:The Workshop Engineer is responsible for the effective maintenance of the Knowles Logistics fleet. You will also be responsible for the daily re-active and pro-active maintenance of the Fleet taking direction from the Fleet Manager. Please note that candidates must be a commutable distance from Wimblington to be considered for this role.Key Responsibilities:Fleet Maintenance:Repair and maintain different types of vehicles, such as lorries, and vans. Perform restorative and preventative work all aspect of the vehicles, test new vehicles to find faults and carry out routine servicing.Performing the following tasks:Inspect vehicles to MOT standardDiagnose faults and rectify all types of faultsService and repair customer vehicles or components using appropriate equipment and tools in a safe and economical mannerMaintain current product knowledge and attend training courses as requiredEnsure all vehicles worked upon are handled carefully and that all precautions are taken whilst on the premisesCarry out roadside assistanceComplete all paperwork as necessaryEnsure all aspects of HandS working practices are adhered toMaintain a high standard of cleanliness and tidinessTeamwork:Daily interaction with the Fleet mechanical team to ensure efficient and effective workload management.
