Job Description: VEHICLE TECHNICIAN
We are currently seeking a Experienced skilled vehicle technician to join our team In Basingstoke on a Full Time Permanent basis
Imi/nvq city and guilds light vehicle level 3 certification is required for this vehicle technician role, time served candidates are also welcome. If you have a great work ethic the right experience then please apply.
Full uk driving licence and your own tools
You must live within 10 miles of Basingstoke
You must have the right to work in the Uk as there is no possibility of a work sponsorship for this role
This is a Monday - Friday role 8am - 6pm-1 hour lunch break
Overtime is available on Saturdays at additional pay but is not mandatory
or
Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm and every other Saturday 8.30 - 5.30pm.-1 hour lunch break
Salary is experience dependent but for the experience we require the salary will start at -40,000 - -45,000 basic plus bonus. Ote -50,000 +
Overtime is available on Saturdays at additional pay but is not mandatory
As a vehicle technician you will be responsible for conducting vehicle inspections and ensuring that they meet the required safety and environmental standards. This is a vital role in ensuring the safety of vehicles on the road.
Responsibilities of a Vehicle technician
- Inspect vehicles for any defects or issues that may affect their roadworthiness
- Identify and report any faults or potential problems to customers
- Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs to all makes and models.
Experience:
- Previous experience as a vehicle technician is essential
- Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of vehicle systems
- Proficient in using hand tools and power tools for inspections and repairs
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify potential issues or defects
- Good communication skills to interact with customers effectively
- Experienced of cambelt and wet belt changes
