Vehicle Technician

An exciting opportunity has become available for an Automotive Vehicle Technician/Vehicle Mechanic within a main dealer service center in Birmingham.

Our Automotive Client has a need for a Vehicle Technician or Vehicle Mechanic who is motivated and able to work to their own initiative.

Duties:

- Carrying out vehicle diagnostics using the latest manufacturer-approved diagnostic equipment
- Performing mechanical and electrical repairs to a high standard
- Supporting and mentoring junior technicians and apprentices
- Liaising with the technical support team and service advisors when required
- Conducting road tests to confirm repair quality and customer satisfaction
- Carrying out routine vehicle servicing and health checks efficiently and accurately
- Advising on additional repair work and providing technical feedback when needed.

Requirements:

- Minimum NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
- Previous experience in a dealership or independent workshop environment
- Strong diagnostic skills and the ability to work independently or within a team
- Full UK driving licence is essential
- MOT testing accreditation, EV training or manufacturer experience are highly desirable, but not essential.

The salary of this role is up to £43,000 basic with OTE of £52,500.

Hours of work for this Vehicle Technician role are a Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm + Saturday mornings on a rota basis.
