Vehicle Technician

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Vehicle Technician to join a reputable, family-owned business based in Petersfield. This opportunity offers a chance to work within a supportive environment, providing crucial vehicle maintenance and repair services in a role that promotes independence and technical excellence.

Duties of the Vehicle Technician:

• Support the safe and efficient operation of workshop and yard activities
• Conduct annual vehicle services and routine inspections
• Attend and diagnose breakdowns, performing necessary repairs
• Replace and repair vehicle components to maintain optimal performance
• Maintain accurate and detailed service records
• Order parts and liaise with suppliers to ensure smooth repair workflows
• Assist with servicing and repairing plant equipment and attachments
• Support health and safety procedures, promoting safety awareness
• Work independently as the sole Vehicle Mechanic, managing workload efficiently
• Provide technical support and advice to colleagues and clients as required

Requirements of the Vehicle Technician:

• NVQ Level 3 diploma in light vehicle repair or equivalent qualification
• Proven recent experience as a vehicle mechanic
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills as the-Vehicle Technician
• Full UK driving licence
• IT literacy with experience in digital data entry
• Highly attentive to detail, with meticulous working practices-
• Good understanding of health, safety, and environmental standards
• Physically fit and adaptable to varying weather conditions
• Excellent communication skills with a team-oriented approach
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
