Vehicle Technician

We are recruiting on behalf of a reputable, family-friendly independent garage in Reading, Berkshire, for the position of Vehicle Technician.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled and experienced vehicle technician to join a well-established business known for its supportive team environment and commitment to staff development.

Duties of a Vehicle Technician:

• Conduct complex fault diagnostics and repairs
• Perform visual health checks and routine servicing
• Diagnose faults accurately and provide effective repair solutions
• Complete all digital paperwork with detailed reports
• Assist with MOT testing if holding a valid MOT licence
• Support workshop functions by working on varied vehicle types

Requirements of a Vehicle Technician:

• NVQ Level 3 qualified Vehicle Technician
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience, preferably within a main dealer environment
• Alternatively, relevant time-served experience considered
• Full UK driving licence
• Own tools
• MOT licence advantageous but not essential
