Vehicle Technician

Our client, a reputable independent workshop in Manchester, is seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for skilled professionals looking to advance their automotive career within a supportive, family-run environment. The Vehicle Technician role offers competitive remuneration, attractive shift patterns, and potential earnings up to £46,000 OTE.

• Basic salary up to £40,000 with potential earnings of up to £46,000 OTE including bonuses
• Working on a 4 on, 4 off shift pattern, 6am to 6pm

Duties of a Vehicle Technician :

• Performing routine servicing in accordance with manufacturers' standards across various vehicle brands
• Diagnosing complex faults and conducting advanced mechanical repairs
• Supporting the workshop team with diagnosis and large repairs
• Ensuring all work meets quality standards and is completed efficiently
• Accurately recording diagnostic and repair data following workshop procedures

Requirements of a Vehicle Technician :

• Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) in automotive servicing or diagnostics
• Proven experience in vehicle servicing, diagnostics, and extensive repairs
• Confident working independently with a high level of attention to detail
• Full UK driving licence
• MOT qualification is advantageous but not essential
• Strong problem-solving skills with a methodical approach to repairs
