Vehicle Technician Vacancy in Swindon, Wiltshire!

Our client, one of the UK''s leading independent van supermarkets operating since 2002, is seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician to join their busy head office and workshop in Swindon. This opportunity offers excellent long-term career prospects within a reputable company processing over 200 vehicles monthly.

Benefits for the successful Vehicle Technician:

• Competitive starting salary between -35,000 and -55,000 per annum, depending on experience
• Overtime (including Saturdays) paid at an enhanced rate

• 28 days annual leave, including bank holidays
• In-house technical training and development programmes

• Working hours: 8:00am-6:00pm Monday to Friday, with Saturday mornings 8:00am-1:30pm on a rota basis, paid as overtime

Duties of the Vehicle Technician:

• Conduct fault diagnosis, servicing, and repairs on vehicles, primarily vans and light commercial vehicles
• Work to the standards specified by the client, ensuring high-quality work
• Accurately diagnose faults and report on vehicle condition, safety, reliability, and performance
• Adhere to health and safety procedures at all times
• Maintain a high standard of work in a busy environment
• Assist with vehicle inspections and testing as required
• Collaborate with team members and support the Aftersales Manager

Requirements of the Vehicle Technician:

• Ideally qualified to IMI/NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
• individuals-with strong practical experience and no formal qualifications will also be considered
• Prior experience working on vans and light commercial vehicles is advantageous but not essential
• Hold a valid UK driving licence with minimal points
• Demonstrate a committed, hardworking attitude and team spirit
• Capable of producing high-quality work in a fast-paced environment
• Motivated to achieve targets and contribute to team success
