Vehicle Technician

We are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Vehicle Technician to join a well-established automotive dealership in Bishop''s Stortford. Benefits:

• Uncapped OTE up to -52,480, with a basic salary ranging from -31,000 to -46,000 depending on experience and qualifications

• Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, with one in three Saturday mornings

Duties of a Vehicle Technician:

• Carrying out pre-delivery inspections on new and used vehicles
• Conducting vehicle checks in accordance with manufacturer guidelines
• Fitting customer-requested accessories and enhancements
• Performing vehicle health checks and identifying additional repair needs
• Inspecting lights, tyres, and mechanical and electrical components
• Completing minor repairs to ensure vehicle safety and reliability
• Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults at a basic level
• Servicing vehicles to manufacturer specifications and customer requirements
• Conducting warranty repairs following manufacturer protocols
• Road testing vehicles post-repair to confirm fault resolution
• Completing accurate and timely documentation

Requirements of a Vehicle Technician:

• NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent qualification
• Relevant motor trade experience, ideally within a dealership environment
• Full valid UK driving licence
• Self-motivated and team-oriented attitude
• Ambitious, eager to learn, and committed to high standards
• Brand experience is advantageous but not essential; brand training will be provided
• Knowledge of diagnostics, MOT, and EV work is beneficial but not mandatory
