Vehicle Technician

Our client, a reputable independent garage in Winchester, Hampshire, is seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician to join their well-established team. Duties of a Vehicle Technician:

• Conduct repairs and servicing on a variety of vehicles, including hybrids and electric models
• Diagnose issues accurately using the latest diagnostic equipment
• Perform repairs such as clutches, cambelts, and general maintenance
• Maintain high standards of workmanship, adhering to manufacturer and industry standards
• Keep detailed job records and communicate effectively with customers
• Assist in workshop cleanliness, safety, and health standards
• Support the team with technical expertise and knowledge sharing

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician with competence in diagnostics, clutch replacements, cambelts, and general repairs
• Experience working on hybrid and electric vehicles is highly desirable
• MOT Tester certification or willingness to obtain it
• Strong diagnostic skills with familiarity with Bosch, Autel, and Snap-On diagnostic tools
• Positive attitude, good communication skills, and ability to work within a team
• Full UK driving licence
• Relevant experience is essential; formal qualifications are not obligatory but advantageous
