Location: Rochester, Kent
Salary: -46,093 per annum
Hours: Monday to Friday, 6:30am to 4:30pm
About the Role
We are currently seeking an experienced Level 3 Vehicle Technician to join a busy and professional workshop team in Rochester. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled technician who takes pride in delivering high-quality workmanship and enjoys working within a fast-paced automotive environment.
Working alongside an experienced team, you will be responsible for servicing, maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs, ensuring vehicles are returned to customers in excellent condition and to the highest industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out general vehicle servicing and maintenance.
- Undertake tyre fitting and replacement duties across a range of vehicle types.
- Perform road tests, ramp tests, and vehicle inspections as required.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults efficiently and accurately.
- Complete repairs in line with approved procedures and manufacturer standards.
- Carry out warranty repairs in accordance with manufacturer guidelines.
- Plan and manage workloads effectively to meet productivity targets and deadlines.
- Support with general workshop duties when required.
- Complete all paperwork and vehicle documentation accurately.
- Ensure compliance with all workshop procedures, quality standards, and health & safety requirements.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician or Vehicle Mechanic.
- NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds Level 3, or equivalent qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
- A valid Full UK Driving Licence.
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills, including electrical diagnostics.
- The ability to work independently and make informed decisions when required.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- A passion for the automotive industry and delivering first-class workmanship.
- A willingness to support and mentor junior technicians when needed.
