Vehicle Technician (Kirkby Stephen based)

Lakeland Commercials Kirkby Stephen is looking for:A vehicle technician to help with a mixed fleet of PSVs and HGVs. The ideal candidate would have previous experience working with either vehicle type, but not essential.Relevant training will be provided for necessary qualifications.Hours: 8:00am - 17:00pm Mon to Fri + Alternative Sat morning.Candidate must be willing to help with School Transport. (Core function of the site)Responsibilities: Assist in diagnosing mechanical issues and performing repairs under supervision. Conduct routine maintenance checks on vehicles and machinery. Help in the disassembly and reassembly of mechanical components. Maintain a clean and organised workspace, ensuring tools and equipment are properly stored. Follow safety protocols while working with machinery and tools.
