Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced and motivated Vehicle Technician to join our friendly and professional team.
About the Role - Vehicle Technician
You will be responsible for servicing, maintaining and repairing a wide range of vehicle makes and models using the latest diagnostic equipment and manufacturer-approved repair methods. This is an excellent opportunity for a technician who takes pride in their work, enjoys problem-solving, and wants to work in a modern, well-equipped workshop.
Key Responsibilities - Vehicle Technician
- Carry out routine servicing in accordance with manufacturer specifications, including updating digital service records.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults using the latest diagnostic equipment.
- Investigate and rectify engine management and electrical fault codes.
- Replace timing belts, timing chains, clutches, brakes, suspension, steering and other major mechanical components.
- Carry out MOT preparation and repairs.
- Complete vehicle health checks and identify any additional work required.
- Ensure all repairs are completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
- Maintain accurate job cards and workshop records.
- Explain technical findings clearly and professionally to customers, both verbally and in written reports.
- Work closely with the workshop team to deliver exceptional customer service.
- Keep your work area clean, organised and compliant with health and safety standards.
Essential Requirements - Vehicle Technician
- Minimum 3 years' experience as a Vehicle Technician within an independent garage or main dealership.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Own professional tools.
- Excellent diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
- Experience working on a wide range of vehicle makes and models.
- Strong knowledge of vehicle servicing, repairs and maintenance.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills with the confidence to explain technical issues to customers in a clear and professional manner.
- Good written English and the ability to produce accurate inspection reports and recommendations.
- Reliable, organised and committed to delivering high standards of workmanship.
