Vehicle Technician (Servicing & Repairs)

Location: The roles are located at either Shaftesbury or Blandford Heights 

Salary: £35,000 to £47,500 per annum (based on experience and qualifications)

About The Role

DCM Tyre and Autocentres is looking for a Vehicle Technician to join our busy, friendly workshop. If you take pride in doing the job properly and want to work somewhere that values your skills, we'd like to hear from you.

You'll carry out tyre fitting, servicing, MOT preparation, brakes, suspension and general repairs on a range of vehicles, keeping our customers safe on the road and coming back to us.

What You'll Be Doing

• Carrying out vehicle servicing, brake and exhaust work, suspension repairs and wheel alignment
• Diagnosing faults and recommending the right repairs to customers and colleagues
• Completing MOT preparation and following all safety and quality standards
• Keeping accurate job records and working to agreed timescales
• Keeping your bay, tools and equipment clean, safe and well maintained
• Delivering excellent customer service, explaining work clearly and honestly

About You

Essential:

• Proven experience as a vehicle technician, mechanic
• A good understanding of vehicle systems and safe working practices
• A full UK driving licence
• A reliable, careful approach with attention to detail
• Ability to work well in a team and on your own initiative

Desirable:

• NVQ/City & Guilds Level 2 or 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent)
• IMI accreditation
• Experience with diagnostic equipment and wheel alignment
• Your own tools
