Vehicle Technician / Mechanic - Main Dealer Workshop

Location: Oxford, Oxfordshire
Salary: -31,000 - -47,780 per year (depending on skills and experience)
Bonus: -1,500 sign-on bonus in month one + -1,500 after 6 months + performance bonuses
Hours: Monday to Friday (flexible working available)

About the Role

An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Vehicle Technician / Mechanic to join a busy, high-performing main dealer workshop in Oxford.

You''ll be part of a skilled and supportive service team, responsible for carrying out inspections, maintenance, servicing, and repairs on a wide range of vehicles. The role offers excellent pay, flexible hours, and clear career development within a national automotive group.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repair work on vehicles to manufacturer standards

• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults accurately

• Perform road tests and quality checks on completed work

• Maintain high workshop efficiency and first-time-fix standards

• Follow health and safety, compliance, and manufacturer procedures

What We''re Looking For

• NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent)

• Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician / Mechanic in a franchised or independent workshop

• Full UK driving licence

• Own set of tools

• MOT testing qualification (advantageous but not essential)

• Ability to work efficiently and deliver high-quality workmanship
