The Role
As a Vehicle Technician, Vehicle Mechanic or Automotive Technician, you''ll play an important role in maintaining high standards of vehicle safety, quality and customer satisfaction.
Your responsibilities will include:
·Carrying out servicing, maintenance, inspections and mechanical repairs to manufacturer standards.
·Diagnosing faults and identifying worn, damaged or defective components.
·Completing vehicle inspections and recommending any necessary repairs.
·Ensuring all work is completed accurately, efficiently and in line with health and safety requirements.
·Providing technical advice and support where required.
·Working closely with Service Advisors and Workshop Controllers to ensure efficient workflow.
·Supporting colleagues and sharing technical knowledge within the workshop.
·Maintaining accurate job records and delivering high-quality workmanship.
 
About You
To be considered for this Vehicle Technician position, you''ll ideally have:
·NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or an equivalent qualification.
·Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician, Vehicle Mechanic or Automotive Technician.
·Strong mechanical knowledge and the ability to diagnose and repair vehicle faults.
·A thorough understanding of vehicle safety standards and manufacturer procedures.
·The ability to meet productivity targets without compromising quality.
·Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
·A positive, team-focused attitude and a commitment to customer satisfaction.
·A full, valid UK driving licence.
 
A current MOT Tester licence would be advantageous but is not essential.
