Position: (phone number removed) Vehicle Package EngineerLocation: Gaydon Position Type: Contract Inside IR35Salary: 33.88 per hour umbrella inside IR35 About the company I am currently recruiting on behalf of a Luxury Automotive OEM based in Gaydon who are seeking a Vehicle package Engineer to join their team on a rolling contract basis working 40 hours per week Job DescriptionCreation of vehicle concept proposals in the form of vehicle architecture package layouts.Creation of outline component and system proposals to further the vehicle package development.Definition and development of detailed vehicle packages at the whole vehicle or package zone level.Tracking and monitoring resolution of all geometric issues within a package zone.Mediation and negotiation between CoC areas to develop solutions for geometric issues within a package zone. Skills: At least 2 years'' experience in product development within vehicle integration or packaging roleExperience of CATIA V5 and V6 for detail or packaging design and geometric integrationWell-rounded knowledge of chassis and propulsion systems and sub systemsExperience of negotiating solutions in an area of technical conflictExperience of using benchmarking tools to support idea generationExperience of CATIA for detail or packaging design.
