Role: Vehicle MechanicLocation: RedditchSalary: Up to 40,000 depending on experience We are currently recruiting for an experienced heavy Vehicle Mechanic to join a busy operation in Redditch.This is a hands-on role responsible for keeping a specialist heavy haulage fleet safe, roadworthy and fully operational. You''ll carry out planned maintenance, inspections, fault finding and repairs across a range of HGVs, tractor units, trailers and associated equipment. ResponsibilitiesCarry out planned maintenance, servicing and inspections on HGVs, tractor units, trailers and associated equipment.Diagnose and repair mechanical faults across the fleet.Complete repairs and modifications identified through vehicle defect reports.Carry out inspections and ensure vehicles remain safe, compliant and roadworthy.Work to manufacturer guidelines and planned maintenance schedules.Attend breakdowns and carry out repairs at operational sites when required.Identify and report major faults, defects, malfunctions, accidents and incidents.Maintain accurate maintenance and inspection records.Ensure the workshop and working areas are kept clean, safe and organised.Follow company procedures, risk assessments and Health and Safety requirements. Skills and experiencePrevious experience maintaining, servicing and repairing HGVs, heavy vehicles, trailers, plant or similar equipment.City and Guilds Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, or an equivalent qualification.NVQ/SVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle ..... full job details .....
