VMU Technician Dartford 33,000 - 35,000 per annum Monday to Friday 10:30am - 7:00pm Full UK Driving Licence Required Our client, a well-established and growing logistics business, is currently seeking an experienced Trailer Mechanic to join their Vehicle Maintenance team based in Dartford. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled mechanic looking to work within a modern fleet operation, carrying out maintenance and repairs on a large trailer fleet while enjoying a great work-life balance with no weekend work. The Role As a Trailer Mechanic, you will be responsible for ensuring trailers remain roadworthy, compliant, and operational through preventative maintenance, inspections, and repairs. Key responsibilities include: Carrying out routine trailer maintenance and repairs. Completing Preventative Maintenance Inspections (PMIs). Diagnosing and rectifying trailer defects. Repairing or replacing lights, lenses, curtains, mirrors, mudguards, landing legs, and associated trailer components. Responding to vehicle defects and supporting operational teams with urgent repairs where required. Completing maintenance records and inspection documentation accurately. Maintaining a safe and organised workshop environment. Ensuring all work is completed in line with current legislation and compliance standards.
