Duties as a Vehicle Damage Assessor:

• Conduct accurate and thorough damage assessments as a Vehicle Damage Assessor
• Engage with customers, insurance adjusters, and repair shops to evaluate vehicle damage
• Create detailed repair estimates using industry-standard software such as Audatex
• Negotiate and agree repair costs with insurers and manage repair processes
• Oversee repair work ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards
• Communicate repair progress updates effectively to customers and stakeholders
• Accurately document all activities in compliance with insurance regulations
• Keep up-to-date with the latest in automotive systems and industry best practices

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years'' experience as a Vehicle Damage Assessor / Estimator
• Proficiency in estimating damage costs, especially for large repairs
• Experience using Audatex or similar estimating software
• Strong knowledge of automotive systems and vehicle components
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
• Strong communication and customer service abilities
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines
• Proficiency in estimating and invoicing software
• Understanding of insurance industry procedures and regulations
• Relevant qualifications such as NVQ or City and Guilds in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair are advantageous
