The Role
As a Vehicle Damage Assessor, VDA or Bodyshop Estimator, you''ll be responsible for assessing vehicle damage, preparing accurate repair estimates and ensuring repairs are completed efficiently and to the required standards.
Your responsibilities will include:
·Inspecting damaged vehicles and accurately assessing the extent of repairs required.
·Producing detailed and accurate repair estimates in line with manufacturer repair methods.
·Calculating labour, parts and material costs.
·Using estimating systems to prepare and manage repair estimates.
·Liaising with insurance companies, customers and relevant stakeholders regarding repair authorisations.
·Working closely with Panel Beaters, MET Technicians and Paint Sprayers to ensure efficient repair processes.
·Monitoring repair progress and addressing any additional damage identified.
·Ensuring estimates and repair documentation are accurate and up to date.
·Maintaining high standards of quality, efficiency and customer service.
 
About You
To be considered for this Vehicle Damage Assessor position, you''ll ideally have:
·Previous experience working as a VDA, Vehicle Damage Assessor or Bodyshop Estimator.
·A strong understanding of accident repair processes and vehicle construction.
·Experience producing accurate estimates and assessing repair costs.
·Knowledge of manufacturer repair methods and procedures.
·The ability to communicate effectively with customers, insurers and workshop teams.
·Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
·The ability to manage workloads and meet deadlines while maintaining accuracy.
·A professional, proactive approach and a commitment to quality.
