      <description>Location: Glasgow | Salary: 600.00-600.00 Daily | Type: Contract | Synapri are supporting a Central Government organisation seeking a Senior Platforms Engineer with strong VMware Horizon and Windows Infrastructure experience to support and enhance a large-scale enterprise VDI and EUC environment. Key Responsibilities  Support and optimise VMware Horizon environments, including UAG, App Volumes, DEM, Instant Clones, and Connection Servers. Manage Windows Server infrastructure and core services such as Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy. Deliver platform upgrades, migrations, patching, and lifecycle management. Automate operational tasks using PowerShell. Troubleshoot complex 3rd/4th line infrastructure issues and perform root cause analysis. Collaborate with engineering, security, cloud, and project teams to deliver platform improvements.  Essential Skills  Proven experience as a Senior Platform, Infrastructure, or EUC Engineer. Strong hands-on experience with VMware Horizon and VMware vSphere/ESXi. Extensive Windows Server administration experience.
