VAT ManagerAbout the RoleA global, leading engineering business is seeking to recruit for a new position as a VAT Manager to cover the UK and Ireland. This role is offered on an initial 2-year Fixed Term Contract basis and reports to the Finance Director.This role is crucial in ensuring VAT compliance, optimising VAT processes, and providing expert advice on VAT-related matters across the UK and Ireland. You will play a key role in process improvements, system implementation, and risk management while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.Key Responsibilities Ensure accurate and timely submission of VAT returnsManage VAT registrations, de-registrations, and reconciliation processesProvide expert VAT advice to internal stakeholders on business initiativesParticipate in the implementation of a new software suiteIdentify VAT risks and implement control measuresLiaise with HMRC on audits, disputes, and VAT enquiriesDrive process automation and standardisation for VAT complianceDeliver VAT training for internal teams What We re Looking For Professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, CTA, or equivalent)Strong understanding of UK and EU VAT legislationProven experience in a VAT-focused role within a large organisation, consultancy, or HMRCExcellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex VAT issuesStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExperience with VAT software and Microsoft ExcelA proactive, self-motivated professional with a keen eye for ..... full job details .....
