About the Role

A part-time Vascular Sonographer position is available at Hillingdon Hospital in Uxbridge, offered through HCL Workforce Solutions at a rate between £40 and £65 per hour. Working Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday shifts, you will deliver comprehensive vascular ultrasound services, performing examinations to aid diagnosis, monitoring, and treatment across various clinical specialties. Collaborating with multidisciplinary healthcare teams, you will ensure accurate, patient-focused care. Key duties include setting up and maintaining ultrasound equipment, conducting patient scans, and producing high-quality images for clinical review. This role requires strong sonography skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to professional standards within a respected healthcare setting.

About the Role:

As a Sonographer, you will provide high quality vascular ultrasound services, performing a range of examinations to support the diagnosis, monitoring, and treatment of patients across a variety of clinical specialities. You will work closely with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver accurate, patient-centred care while maintaining the highest professional standards.

Key Responsibilities Include:

Setting up and maintaining ultrasound equipment
Performing ultrasound examinations on patients
Producing images resulting from the ultrasound examinations
Interpreting ultrasound images to aid patient diagnosis
Carrying out training on ultrasound equipment for other healthcare professionals
Addressing patients'' concerns before, during and after ultrasound examinations
Keeping up to date records of scans performed and images produced
Referring patients to other healthcare professionals and facilities, when necessary
Soothing and reassuring nervous or anxious patients

Who We Are Looking For:

Relevant degree or postgraduate qualification in Medical Ultrasound/Sonography or equivalent recognised qualification.
2 experiences working as a Sonographer within a clinical or hospital environment.

Skills:

In-depth understanding of the principles of medicine and healthcare
Knowledge of human physiology and anatomy
Working knowledge of transducers and other ultrasound equipment
Excellent bedside manner
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Excellent physical stamina and the ability to stand for long hours
Thoroughness and attention to detail
