We are currently looking for a reliable and hardworking Delivery Driver / Warehouse Operative to join our busy automotive parts operation based in Bristol (BS34).

This is a physically demanding, hands-on role combining local multi-drop deliveries with warehouse duties. It is ideal for someone who enjoys staying active, is comfortable with manual labour and heavy lifting, and can work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

This position is offered on a temp-to-perm basis, with the opportunity for the right candidate to secure a permanent position following a successful temporary period.

Working Hours

Monday to Friday: 08:30am – 17:30pm
Every other Saturday: 08:00am – 12:00pm
1 unpaid lunch break per day

About the Role

The position will mainly involve delivering vehicle parts to garages, workshops, trade customers, and businesses across the local area.

When not out on deliveries, you will support the warehouse team with general duties including picking parts and orders, moving stock, loading your own van, unloading deliveries, and keeping the warehouse organised.

This is not a light-duty driving role. The successful applicant will be required to carry out regular manual labour and heavy lifting throughout the working day.

You may be required to:

• Pick and prepare automotive parts for customer orders
• Locate and collect parts from warehouse stock
• Load your own van safely and efficiently
• Unload heavy parts at customer sites
• Carry parts into garages, workshops and businesses
• Regularly lift and move heavy items
• Work up and down stairs while carrying parts
• Load and move stock around the warehouse
• Spend periods of the day on your feet and physically active
• Carry out general warehouse and manual handling duties

Saturday shifts are primarily warehouse-based and will involve picking, moving and handling stock.

Physical Demands of the Role

Applicants should be aware that this is a physically demanding position involving frequent manual labour and heavy lifting.

Some automotive parts can weigh 25kg+, and the role involves repeatedly lifting, carrying, loading and unloading parts throughout the day.

The job may involve carrying heavy parts up and down stairs, loading your own delivery van, moving stock around the warehouse, and handling bulky or awkward automotive components.

You must therefore be comfortable with regular heavy lifting, manual handling, bending, carrying, walking and being on your feet for extended periods.

Items You Will Be Handling

You will be delivering and handling a wide range of automotive parts and products, including:

• Brake pads and brake discs
• Nuts, bolts and fittings
• Mirrors and vehicle accessories
• Oils and vehicle fluids
• Car and commercial batteries
• Parts for motorcycles, cars, vans, tractors and lorries

Please note that some items can weigh 25kg+, so applicants must be comfortable with manual handling, heavy lifting and physically demanding work.

What We’re Looking For

• Full UK driving licence
• Good timekeeping and reliability
• Comfortable driving a company van for deliveries
• Physically fit and comfortable with regular heavy lifting and manual labour
• Able to repeatedly lift, carry, load and unload automotive parts
• Comfortable carrying items up and down stairs
• Able to load and organise your own van
• Comfortable working on your feet and staying active throughout the day
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Previous delivery or warehouse experience is beneficial but not essential
• A positive, hardworking and can-do attitude
