This role offers the successful candidate the opportunity to become a key part of a busy and customer-focused builders merchant branch. Key Responsibilities - Yard Duties

• Assisting customers to locate and load materials
• Loading and unloading supplier and customer vehicles
• Keeping the yard clean, organised, and safe
• Carrying out stock checks and reporting damages or shortages
• Following all Health & Safety and PPE requirements

Driving Duties

• Delivering building materials to customers using a company van (up to 3.5t)
• Planning efficient delivery routes in line with schedules
• Ensuring loads are secured and paperwork is completed accurately
• Providing friendly, professional customer service on every delivery

Requirements/Skills:

• Full UK driving licence
• Experience in a builders merchant, trade, or construction environment
• Good knowledge of building materials (desirable)
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling and outdoor work
• Reliable, flexible, and a strong team player
