Van Driver Near Orpington 14.50 per hour Temporary to Permanent Partner Recruitment are partnering with a well-established engineering company near Orpington who are looking to recruit a Van Driver / General Factory Hand on a temp-to-perm basis. This is a varied, hands-on role where approximately 60% of the position will involve driving, with the remaining time supporting packing, workshop and general factory duties. Key ResponsibilitiesDriving the company van daily (around 60% of the role), including collection from storage each morning and return at the end of the dayDelivery and collection of goods to customers, suppliers and sub-contractorsPacking goods correctly for delivery via company van and courierRunning general driving errands as requiredKeeping the van clean, tidy and carrying out basic checksCompleting and submitting mileage recordsCleaning and sweeping workshop areas as instructedWashing mop heads and cloths using on-site facilitiesEnsuring water softener is stocked with saltCleaning and maintaining workshop storage boxesAssisting with assembly work when requiredShredding and other ad-hoc duties during quieter periods About YouFull UK driving licence (essential)Comfortable with manual, hands-on workAble to pack items carefully and correctlyReliable, organised and flexible in approachHappy to support different departments as needed This role offers a strong opportunity to move into a permanent position within a growing engineering business.
