About the Role

Pertemps Warrington seeks a Van Driver for a full-time, temporary-to-permanent position in St Helens (WA10), paying £13.05 per hour across a 45-hour week, Monday to Friday. You will serve a specialist transport firm handling secure, temperature-controlled logistics for the pharmaceutical and clinical trial sectors throughout the UK and Ireland. Daily duties involve delivering products, including controlled drugs, to retail and residential addresses, completing between 20 and 60 drops per day along pre-planned routes. You will handle goods safely, uphold professional customer service, keep accurate records, and perform basic vehicle checks. Prior multi-drop experience and a valid driving licence are essential for this time-sensitive role.

As a Van Driver your duties will be: -

Deliver pharmaceutical products, including controlled drugs, to retail and residential premises.
Complete 20–60 deliveries per day, depending on the delivery area.
Follow pre-planned and time-sensitive routes.
Handle all products safely and securely.
Provide a professional and high-quality service to customers.
Maintain accurate delivery records and report any issues promptly.
Carry out basic vehicle checks and ensure the vehicle is clean and secure.

The successful Van Driver will have the following skills: -

Full UK driving licence.
DBS check requirement.
Due to the nature of the business and insurance purposes applicants must be age 21 and over.
Must have less than 6 points on a license
Good knowledge of local roads and routes.
Excellent time management and punctuality.
Ability to follow planned routes and schedules.
Good communication and customer service skills.
Reliable, responsible, and safety conscious.
Ability to handle deliveries securely and professionally.
No CD/DD/DR Endorsements.
