Job Responsibilities

  • Deliver goods to customers and businesses across the local area and wider routes as required.
  • Plan routes efficiently to meet delivery schedules and time windows.
  • Load and unload items safely, ensuring correct handling and secure placement in the van.
  • Complete delivery paperwork.
  • Perform routine checks on the vehicle before and after shifts, reporting any defects promptly.
  • Keep the vehicle clean and presentable, and ensure safe working practices at all times.

Required Skills andamp; Qualifications

  • Full UK driving licence with entitlement to drive a van (typically Category B).
  • Previous experience as a van driver or in a delivery role is essential.
  • Good knowledge of UK road safety and driving best practices.
  • Strong time-management skills with the ability to work to delivery schedules.
  • Ability to lift and handle goods safely and consistently throughout the shift.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
  • Awareness of vehicle checks and safe loading/unloading procedures.
