Job Overview

A great opportunity has arisen for a Van Driver to join a construction product specialist based in Barking. This role involves carrying out deliveries in a safe, timely and efficient manner, while maintaining a high level of customer service.

As a key representative of the business, you will be expected to have a positive, can-do attitude and build strong working relationships with both customers and internal teams.

Job Requirements

* Full UK Driving Licence
* Experience driving a 3.5T van
* Previous experience within the construction industry (desirable)
* Good knowledge of safe loading and delivery practices
* Strong communication and customer service skills
* Reliable, punctual and well organised
* Based within commuting distance of Barking

Salary & Benefits

* Salary: -30,000 - -32,000
* 25 days holiday
* No weekend or bank holiday working
* Christmas shutdown
* Pension scheme
* Working hours: Monday to Friday, 05:30am - 14:30pm

Key Responsibilities

* Complete 5-10 deliveries per day in line with route schedules
* Conduct daily vehicle checks and report defects using Fleetcheck App
* Ensure vehicle is correctly loaded, with goods safely secured
* Follow delivery routes using MaxOptra and complete delivery confirmations
* Maintain communication with customers regarding delivery times
* Report any site or delivery issues back to the branch
* Drive in accordance with company policies and current legislation
* Support with additional duties within the branch when required
