Currently completing the Discovery phase, the programme will modernise an existing Legacy application through the creation of new capabilities and the transfer of functionality to other systems within the wider estate. Following agile principles, the Build phase will consist of multiple Scrum teams following a two-week sprint cycle. A major part of the programme is the remediation of existing Legacy capture applications, which enable end users to manually capture core Self-Assessment customer returns. Further new functionality will be introduced to enable end users to interact with the remediated services.
