US Tax Manager - High-Growth Practice | Flexible Location
A unique opportunity has arisen for a seasoned US Tax Manager to join a specialist tax consultancy team operating within a top 40 UK accountancy group. This role sits within a high-performing unit focused on expatriate and high net worth individual tax matters, with a strong reputation for technical excellence and client service.Following a recent strategic acquisition, the team is now part of a dynamic and expanding practice with offices across Central and Southern England. The Role
This is a permanent, full-time position with hybrid working options. While aligned with the Norwich US Tax team, location is flexible across any group office.
Key responsibilities include:
- Acting as designated signer for US Federal and State tax returns
- Reviewing and signing individual US tax returns for a diverse client base
- Providing technical guidance and mentoring to junior team members
- Advising on complex US tax matters and compliance forms (FBARs, W-8BENs, SS-4s, etc.)
- Maintaining accurate tracking and reporting via internal systems
- Collaborating across teams to deliver exceptional client outcomes

About You
You''ll bring:
- Post-qualification US tax experience
- Enroled Agent, CPA or JD status (or near certification)
- Prior experience as a designated signer for US returns
- Strong technical knowledge and familiarity with foreign informational filings
- Excellent communication and client management skills
- A proactive, collaborative mindset and passion for developing others
