Overview
The appointee will join a team of Urologists at Croydon University Hospital and St George''s Hospital for a 12-month fixed term contract and provide general urology services with an interest in Renal Cancer.Responsibilities
Provide general urology services with elective and emergency care.Participate in the on-call rota at St George''s Hospital (1:12) and perform daily ward rounds and review acute admissions in line with Emergency Standards.Provide core urology services at Croydon University Hospital and participate in the on-call rota at St George''s Hospital.Undertake a minimum of 8.5 programmed activities for direct clinical (DCC) care and 1.5 programmed activities for Supporting Activities (SPA); these are normally carried out on site, though this may be negotiable for supporting activities.Be involved in teaching and contribute to the undergraduate curriculum, including planning and reviewing teaching and the assessment of students, which could include ward rounds and outpatient clinics where properly structured.Assist in creating an enhanced network for Urology patients and demonstrate a clear interest in Renal Cancer to inform future network services.On-call commitments will be undertaken at St George''s Hospital with a consultant of the week arrangement; on-call is 1:12 and elective work is cancelled during on-call periods.Requirements
