Unqualified Nursery Assistant Specification
Empowering Learning is currently seeking a caring and enthusiastic Unqualified Nursery Assistant (UNA) to join a well-established nursery setting in Birmingham. There is a part-time and full-time role avaialble working with children aged 0 to 5 years old in a warm, supportive, and child-focused environment.

Our client provides high-quality childcare and early education, focusing on nurturing each child''s development through play-based learning and strong caregiver relationships. As a Nursery Assistant, you will support the team in delivering engaging activities while ensuring a safe and stimulating environment.

As an Unqualified Nursery Assistant, you will:
* Support practitioners and room leaders in delivering engaging, age-appropriate activities
* Help create a safe, welcoming, and stimulating environment for children
* Assist with daily routines including mealtimes, hygiene, and play
* Observe children''s development and contribute to informal assessments
* Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
* Ensure safeguarding and health & safety policies are followed at all times

Requirements:
* A genuine passion for working with young children
* Good communication and teamwork skills
* Basic literacy and numeracy skills
* A willingness to learn and develop within early years
* An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
* Understanding of safeguarding (training can be provided)
