Universal Grinder

T&G Engineering are currently recruiting for a skilled Universal Grinder to join our team in West Byfleet. Your attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment will be essential in this role.  

Full time hours are 39hours per week: Monday-Thursday 07:30 to 16:00 (1/2 lunch break), Friday 07:30-14:30 (no lunch break). Overtime available paid at time and a half.

23days annual leave per annum plus English bank holidays.

Competitive rates of pay depending on experience.

Responsibilities:

• All aspects of Universal Grinding.
• Use of measuring equipment to check components.
• Work on highly complex components with a strict GD&T adherence and being compliant to technical documents.
• Maintaining quality and safety standards ensuring programs and tooling are stored in their correct locations.

Requirements:

• Experience in Surface, Rotary and Cylindrical grinding.  
• The ability to read complex technical drawings with GD&T’s.
• The ability to work on the following machines: Jones & Shipman Surface, Cylindrical Grinders with attachments and Perfect 400R Rotary Grinder.
• Good organisational skills.
• A passion for engineering with the appreciation and commitment to achieve our clients’ requirements is essential.
