About the Role

This full-time warehouse role, listed as UNITY-GIST HEMEL M&S-FD06/WH/1000/04/-/-, operates from Piccotts End in Hemel Hempstead on ongoing day and night shifts, with start times at 7am, 8am, 10am, 2pm and 6pm. Duties include picking food products using a voice pick system for a well-known supermarket, breaking down and allocating goods, and meeting set targets within chilled and ambient areas. Pay ranges from £13.35 to £16.76 per hour depending on shift, with premium rates of 10% extra beyond 40 hours and at weekends, plus regular overtime and bonuses of up to £1000 during the December peak. Free parking, a subsidised canteen and immediate starts are offered, alongside the possibility of a permanent contract.

As a Warehouse Operative you will be:

Picking food products using a top voice pick system for a well-known supermarket
Working in a chilled and ambient environment
Breaking down and allocating goods
Achieving targets and job standards set out by the shift manager
Other duties which may include heavy lifting

The ideal Warehouse Operative will have the following skills and experience:

Previous experience working in a warehouse environment is an advantage, but not essential as full training will be provided
Must have a good attention to detail
Must have a positive attitude and be extremely reliable
Ability to work under pressure, and to deadlines
Punctual with excellent timekeeping and attendance
