About Role: One of my local government clients are currently recruiting for an experienced highly organised and empathetic Unit Coordinator to support our Children and Families Services team. This vital role ensures the smooth day-to-day running of our social work unit, helping to coordinate complex caseloads and interactions with vulnerable children and families. Key Responsibilities: Set up and maintain systems for efficient unit operations and support statutory deadlines. Be the first point of contact for enquiries, offering professional, sensitive responses to families, staff, and partner agencies. Coordinate appointments, manage diaries, and arrange internal/external meetings. Record and circulate minutes from key case planning and professional meetings. Maintain tracking systems for child protection visits, reviews, and other statutory requirements. Ensure all communications and information sharing within the unit are clear, accurate, and timely. Requirements: Experience in a social care or public sector administrative role, ideally supporting social work teams. Strong organisational and communication skills. Confidence dealing with sensitive or distressing situations involving children and families. Minute-taking experience, including for complex or confidential meetings.
