Group Underwriting Data Governance Analyst

on behalf of a global reinsurance group. This is a unique opportunity to join a listed, high-performing organisation at the forefront of speciality lines underwriting. London | Hybrid Working | Permanent.

You’ll play a central role in strengthening the group’s underwriting governance framework, working closely with C-suites and senior stakeholders. This role offers visibility across multiple lines of business and exposure to both in-house and delegated underwriting arrangements (DUAs).

What You’ll Be Doing

Supporting portfolio oversight through MI packs, board/committee reporting, and governance commentary

Monitoring compliance with underwriting principles, delegated authorities, and outsourcing frameworks

Coordinating tracking of new business proposals, referrals, and key binder metrics (e.g. premium limits, SLAs)

Overseeing coverholder audit activity and associated action tracking

Assisting in the development and implementation of third-party underwriting controls

Liaising with internal audit on underwriting-related reviews

Working cross-functionally to embed best practices across underwriting, claims, ops, compliance, and external partners

What We’re Looking For

3+ years of experience within an underwriting, underwriting governance, or controls role

Background in the global speciality insurance or reinsurance sector

Strong stakeholder engagement skills—comfortable operating across international teams

Analytical thinker with attention to detail and strong written communication skills

Understanding of DUA business and multi-class insurance (preferred)

Ability to interpret insurance contracts and associated legal documentation

CII qualifications are advantageous
