As part of continued expansion, we have a new opportunity within a lean and dynamic underwriting team based on the beautiful island of Bermuda. This role supports a global portfolio, with significant exposure to the US market, across general liability, cyber, and other specialty lines.Location: Bermuda-based with relocation and housing assistance. Frequent travel to London required.Team: Agile, high-performing underwriting unit.Role Type: Newly created position due to global growth.Responsibilities

Support a global portfolio with exposure to the US market across general liability, cyber, and other specialty lines. This is a fast-paced platform, and the successful candidate will be expected to hit the ground running, contribute immediately, and operate with autonomy.What You''ll Bring

We''re seeking a professional with a strong analytical and actuarial/underwriting foundation. While treaty experience is ideal, we also welcome candidates from direct underwriting backgrounds—particularly those who''ve transitioned from pricing or actuarial roles and can bring a data:driven mindset to portfolio management.Skills, Qualifications And Experience

Maths or Applied Science Degree: Along with relevant experience as an Actuary or Underwriter.Solid experience in treaty or direct underwriting, with exposure to pricing or actuarial disciplinesFamiliarity with general liability, cyber, and other relevant specialty classesProven ability to work independently within a lean, results-driven teamComfortable transitioning quickly into a new role and adapting to a fast-paced environmentWilling and able to relocate for a 2+ year contract commitment and also to travel frequently, including regular visits to LondonThe employer appreciates that current notice periods can sometimes be lengthy and will find a solution for the successful candidatesBenefits
