an ePlus Technology, inc. Company Senior Engineer / Consultant, you will be responsible for designing, implementing and supporting single or multi-vendor solutions. The essential functions of this position include:Design and implement Network and Security solutions that accurately reflect the customer stated objectivesLead technical workshops to capture customer technical requirements and produce HLD and LLD documentationDeliver Proof-of-Concepts (POC) to support the sales process and/or the design processWork with the Project Management team and act as the technical lead on projectsAssess Customer environments and make recommendations on solutions and improvementAssist in creating and/or responding to Bill-of-Materials (BOM) and Statements of Work (SOW)Troubleshoot complex technical issuesProvide technical support to end customersReproduce customer technical issues, and test features and functionality in a lab environmentEscalate issues to other team members and subject matter experts, as necessaryMeet with key vendors to stay current on products and technologiesMaintain multiple advanced manufacturer specific certifications e.g. CCNP, PCNSE, JNCIPTravel to customer locations to attend meetings and complete engineering tasksServe each and every customer to ePlus’ standardsHandle confidential matters and information professionallyConduct business in a professional, competent and ethical mannerAdhere to corporate policies and proceduresQUALIFICATIONS

Basic Requirements:Strong Security and Networking experience, on leading vendor technologies from Cisco, Juniper and Palo AltoExperience of deploying and supporting Palo Alto technologies including implementing and supporting Hardware based Firewalls, VM Series and PanoramaSolid understanding and working knowledge of solutions based on Cisco’s core Security portfolioDemonstrated understanding and working knowledge of networking technologies from Cisco and Juniper and protocols such as IPv4/v6, BGP, OSPF, VLANS, QoS, Multicast.Scripting and automation experience – Ansible, PythonExcellent customer service skills, both in-person and over the phone/video conferenceStrong written communication and documentation skillsHighly skilled in accurately capturing customer technical requirementsExpertise in troubleshooting complex solutionsHigh attention to detailEffective time management abilitiesQuick thinker with the ability to devise solutions promptlyFast learner of new technologiesSelf-motivated and proactivePreferred Requirements – two or more from the following list:Service Provider experience, e.g. MPLS/VPLS, EVPN, BNG and Service Provider technology from vendors such as Cisco, Juniper and Nokia e.g. Juniper MX, PTX, Cisco ASR, Nokia SR-7End point security solutions EDR, MDR, Management and Implementation, e.g. CrowdStrike, Sentinel 1Security logging and SIEM, e.g. SplunkCloud experience – AWS and AzureWifi experience, e.g. Juniper MISTCollaboration experience, e.g. Cisco Collab, WebexHyperconvergence experience, e.g. NutanixStorage experience, e.g. PureCertifications and Experience:10+ years of hands-on experience in IT5+ years of experience in an Engineering, Snr Engineering or Consultant level rolePalo Alto PCNSE certifiedJuniper JNCIP certified or higherMultiple industry-recognized Certifications from leading vendors e.g. Cisco CCNP, CCDP, CCIE, Palo Alto PSE, PCNSE, Fortinet NSE-4PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
